Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI – CHANDIGARH International and Domestic Flight D
Arrive Chandigarh Airport. On arrival met by your Odyssey Manager and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: CHANDIGARH – MANAL I 320Km, around 7-8 Hours drive BLD
After breakfast drive 320 km, 7-9 hours to Manali. This journey offers a dramatic changes in nature from Lower Himalayas to Shivalik Himalayas and then again to the lower Himalayas. You will be driving form a hilltop to different valley structures and sometimes driving along different rivers. We would stop at Bajaura to visit Basheshar Mahadev temple with fine stone carvings and sculptures is believed to have been built in the mid 8th century. It is truly an incredible structure. On the banks of the river Beas, roughly about 200 m off the road. On completion drive to Manali and check in to the hotel.

Day 03: MANALI (acclimatization trek) BLD
Start walking from your hotel to visit ancient wooden temple dedicated to Goddess Hidimba and visit and photograph 1553 AD constructed wooden carved “Hidimba Devi Temple” also spelled as “Hadimba”. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, sister of Hidimba, who was a character in the Indian epic, Mahabara. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest. Further walk to Old Manali (Manu + Alaya means house of Manu) named after a great saint Manu. According to Hindu mythology nature has its cycles and once the cycle completes a big catastrophe occurs and then the world restarts. Due to the reason Manali got its name after Manu, the first survivor. Continue the walk to the next village of Goshal and cross the river to the other bank and trek to reach Jogni fall and further to the village of Vashishat. The Hot Springs and the village are well known among the backpackers and known after saint Vashishat. After visiting the hot springs and temples continue to Manali town.
Day 04: MANALI – CHHATRU/DADAR PUL 89 Km, around 5 hours drive BLD
After breakfast, today your journey brings you to the gate way of Higher Himalayas and sudden change of the landscape, tree line, meadows and then the high mountain ranges give an experience of being in to the moon land. Descend down to lahaul Valley after crossing over Rohtang pass (3989M), continue along Chandra River i.e. a tributary of Chenab to reach Chhatru. Relax and enjoy a comfortable evening at your camp.
Day 05: DADARPUL – CHANDERTAL – KAZA 140 km, 6.5 hour drive + 1.5 hours lake visit BLD
After breakfast continue along Chandra River i.e. a tributary of Chenab to reach batal and further to Chandratal Lake. At an altitude of 4270 Meters approx. This deep blue-water lake has a circumference of 2.5 Kilometers. Direct translation from Hindi to English is Moon Lake where Chandra is Moon and Tal is Lake. It is also one of the source of the Chandra River. Enjoy your time to shoot at different locations near Chandratal Lake. On completion drive back and again the another higher pass of Kunzum La (4550M) to get in to Spiti Valley. You can enjoy nice spectacular stops on the way to catch the glimpses of the serenity and reach Kaza in the evening. Check in to the hotel.
Day 06: KAZA – KI – KIBBER – LANGZA – HIKKIM – KAZA Day excursion BLD
A day to explore the places of interest around Kaza. Drive up to Langza village and walk around the village to explore the paddy fields and the monastery. Further drive to reach Hikkim monastery for a magnificent view of the Himalayan ranges. This area is famous among the researchers for the ancient fossils. You can try to find one around the Monastery or get it checked from a villager, who wish to sell it often. Continue further to the highest village of Kibber and visit the Ki monastery on your way back to Kaza. Overnight at hotel in Kaza.
Day 07: KAZA – DANKAR – TABO – MUDH Day excursion BLD
After breakfast drive along the Spiti River and uphill to reach the old Monastery of Dankar, made centuries back by mud and clay, houses more than hundred monks practicing Buddhist studies. On completion proceed to Tabo village. Visit 1008 years old Tabo monastery in the morning. Which is one of the oldest and is considered second important monastery by Tibetan Buddhist after Tholing monastery in Tibet. After visiting Tabo monastery drive to Pin Valley and to the village of Mud. Here, we start our short 2 km trek to our campsite across the other side of the Mud village.
Day 08: MUD – BARA BOLANDER Around 6 hours Trek BLD
Mud is the last village of Pin valley. After breakfast we will start our day along the Pin river to Bara Bolandar. We have to wade through shallow streams along the way. Today is an easy day but offering a great views of the Himalayas. We would be camping on nice grassland where shepherds reach every summer with their sheep & cattle. Overnight at Camp.
Day 09: BARA BOLANDER – BHAWA PASS – FAUTI Around 7 hours Trek BLD
Today we will trek over a glacier to cross Bhaba Pass (4890m) and then descend down to a good camping site at Fauti after a long 6-7 hours of walking. It is a hard but rewarding and eventful day for those who have never climbed to this height. O/N Camp at the base of Bhawa pass.
Day10: FAUTI – LANAK – MULLING Around 5 hours Trek BLD
An easy day with 4-5 hours walking along the Bhaba river to Lanak. We have to either cross the small river or walk across the snow bridge depending on the season. Bhaba Pass is the dividing line between lush green lower Himalayas and Trans Himalayan region of Pin valley. Today we will trek through vast greenery, a contrast to the scenery on the other side of Bhaba Pass. Continue walking and descending with an ease while enjoying the alpine scenery, as you are now in to the lush green pastures and meadows. The camp for the day before the tree line by the stream. Overnight camp at Mulling.
Day 11: MULLING – KAFNU – SANGLA Around 3 hours Trek BLD
Start early to enjoy an easy day with 2-3 hours of walking through thick Pine forest to Kafnu also known as Bhaba. You can visit here one of the most Eco-Friendly Hydel Project constructed only after diverting the water of Bhaba river in a small canal lake. The whole Bhaba Project is constructed inside a rock mountain without disturbing nature of the hills. On arrival transfer to the land transport and continue driving around 2.5 hours to reach Sangla. Overnight stay at Kinner Camps.
Day 12: SANGLA – SARAHAN – SHIMLA 225 Km, around 7 hours drive BLD
Enjoy your morning at Sangla, you can opt for a relaxed morning walk to the other side of river to visit the old village of Batseri. After breakfast start with your land journey to reach Sarahan. A renowned and pilgrimage point for the locals, Sarahan is known for the mighty Bhima Kali Temple. Visit the temple and continue with your journey further to reach Shimla. On arrival check in to the hotel.
Day 13: SHIMLA SIGHT SEEING & EXPLORATION BLD
Relax your morning at ease and enjoy a nice breakfast at your hotel. Further proceed with the visit of Shimla town. Visit the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. This institute is housed in the then Viceregal Lodge, which was built in 1884-88 during the British times. It has spacious gardens and is ringed by beautiful pine trees. All is calm and serene just the right atmosphere for a student of literature or politics. Post lunch take your time to explore the famous ‘Mall Road & Ridge’ to get acquainted by the olden days Shimla as compared to modern one.
Day 14: SHIMLA – CHANDIGARH – DELHI 120 Km, around 4 hours drive + 03 Hours
Train BLD
After breakfast start with your land journey to Chandigarh. All downhill and the drive will show you the end of Himalayas at the end. After lunch transfer to the railway station to board your scheduled train to Delhi. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 15: FLY HOME INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT BL
As per the departure of your scheduled flight home, have some time to do last minute shopping and to visit some places of interest in Delhi.
